One of the European fixtures was the semi-final first leg between Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, which ended in a 1-0 triumph for the Spanish club at the Vicente Calderon.

Clattenburg will oversee Atletico again this season as he has been selected to referee the Champions League showpiece between Diego Simeone's side and their local rivals Real Madrid, coached by Zinedine Zidane.
The County-Durham born referee, who will officiate the FA Cup final at Wembley on May 21, will be joined by assistants Simon Beck and Jake Collin.

The final will be held at the San Siro.
