Manchester United Transfer News: Thomas Muller Hope, Reece Oxford Bid, Rafa Silva Scouting Mission – Reports

Manchester United need new legs – so it’s encouraging that Louis van Gaal’s admitted that he’s looking for new players in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils may be one point from the top of the Premier League table but the pressure is mounting on the Dutchman due to the side’s uninspiring style of play.

Though the 64-year-old’s sorted United’s defence, their attack is lacking in ideas and Anthony Martial is the only fit forward for the visit of West Ham to the Theatre of Dreams today.

With that in mind, here’s the latest transfer talk from the red half of Manchester.

United given fresh Thomas Muller hope – report

All hope of bringing the Bayern Munich forward to Old Trafford seemed to have evaporated but there’s fresh hope for the Red Devils.

Pep Guardiola’s side are said to be looking at a replacement for the German forward with Domenico Berardi in line to move to the Allianz Arena.

And this has given Van Gaal – who tried to sign Muller this summer – fresh hope in his pursuit.

Red Devils prepare Reece Oxford bid – report

There’s no doubt that United need to strengthen in attack but that doesn’t mean Van Gaal isn’t looking towards the future.

West Ham’s Oxford is undoubtedly a future star and he proved as much with a man-of-the-match performance against Arsenal on his debut earlier this season.

And the latest is that United will place an £8m bid for his services in January.

Van Gaal orders Rafa Silva scouting mission – report

Michael Carrick’s had a distinguished career but he’s coming towards the end at Old Trafford.

Silva has been in impressive form for Portuguese side Braga and United have watched him twice in the last week.

With Liverpool also thought to be interested, Van Gaal would have to act fast to sign the 22-year-old next month.
