Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho Reveals His Pre-Game Ritual

Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho may be under pressure after his team's disastrous start to the season, but claims he never gets nervous before big games, because he’s too busy watching crime dramas.

The Blues boss has revealed his pre-match ritual involves locking himself away in his office and leaning back in a leather chair to watch episodes of The Wire or The Bridge.

And he’ll be looking to do likewise at the King Power Stadium as struggling Chelsea prepare to take on third place Leicester.

He said: “I like to be in my little office in Stamford Bridge, watching a movie on my iPad. I hate when the guy knocks on the door and tells you have to come to an interview.

“I like to be there. I’m not in the dressing-room, I’m there, relaxed, waiting for the game. Sometimes television is there, we play 5 o’clock and there is football before and I want to see other results.

“The players are warming up or in the dressing room. The assistants are taking care of the players, I have nothing to do in that period. I like TV series, I’m always waiting for a new episode to come.”

Mourinho will be coming up against the man he replaced at Chelsea in 2004 when he locks horns with Claudio Ranieri.

But he hit out at the number of foreign managers now in charge of Premier League clubs – and claims it’s bad for British bosses.

There are currently 12 top flight teams with foreign managers including both Chelsea and Leicester.
