Jose Mourinho Should Recall Chelsea Loanee Lewis Baker To Turn Premier League Season Around

While Chelsea’s major stars have struggled for form, one academy graduate has been tearing up the Eredivisie.

Lewis Baker is currently being loaned out to feeder club Vitesse and has out-performed the majority of Chelsea’s key men this season.

1. Baker provides the creative spark that Chelsea lack:

Creative stars such as Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas have struggled to provide the spark required for a club of Chelsea’s standards.

Baker, on the other hand, has created the second-most chances in the Dutch top flight this season and could relight the club’s fire.

Baker has scored more in the Eredivisie than any other Chelsea star has managed in the Premier League this season.
And he’s done it all from centre-midfield.

3. He has more assists than any other Chelsea player!

Not only has he scored more than the majority of the Blues squad, he’s also assisted more goals than any of them.

Chief assisters Fabregas and Hazard have both set up two league goals whereas Baker has already managed three assists.

One of his assists proved that he’s also a free-kick specialist with this sumptous ball:
